Updating the ESA via telephone
Updating the ESA with the ATO online:
To update the wrkr ESA with the ATO online, please log into the Online Services for Business login page:
https://onlineservices.ato.gov.au/business/
- Select your SMSF business, then select Profile, then select Business details:
Scroll down the page displayed until you see 'Electronic service address alias' details, choose wrkrSMSF from the dropdown menu and Save the changes:
This has updated the ESA with the ATO. Some clients have reported needing to wait 24 hours for the ATO systems to update before being able to use the wrkrSMSF ESA for rollovers.
Updating the ESA via telephone:
The ATO can be called on 1300 852 232 with the following information:
- proof of record ownership (for example personal TFN, date of birth, address, recent ATO-generated notice). This is required for identification/ verification purposes.
- your Australian business number (ABN), or if you are a registered agent, you can use your registered agent number (RAN)
- the name or ABN of your software provider (which is wrkr which has ABN: 50611202414 registered with the ATO)
- our ESA which is the word wrkrSMSF
The ATO will be able to update your ESA on your behalf. Some clients have reported needing to wait 24 hours for the ATO systems to update before being able to use the wrkrSMSF ESA for rollovers.
